Product Details
Vintage mid 1940’s Pope Gosser China lot in the discontinued Blue Bell pattern
In good condition, but plates have some crazing and varying back stamps. See last two photos.
A lovely design with a garland of yellow, blue and pink flowers and gold trim to the scalloped edge, called a sterling mold.
Pope Gosser was a China company founded in Coshocton, Ohio in 1903, their wares survived thru the Great Depression when they merged with several other China makers as a consolidated company. There re-emergence in the 1940’s saw them introduce transfer decals and ornate molds. The company disappeared in 1954 with their purchase by the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co.
